​What does the Ayurvedic Strengthening Mask smell like?

Because our formula is 100% raw and completely free from artificial perfumes, it has a distinct, grounded herbal and earthy scent. The dominant aroma comes from the Fenugreek powder, which naturally smells warm and slightly sweet—similar to maple syrup—balanced by the fresh, green, bitter notes of Neem and Moringa.

Can I use herbal teas or juices instead of water to mix the powder?

Yes! You can easily customize your treatment. Instead of warm water, try mixing the Ayurvedic Strengthening powders with warm green tea or rosemary tea for added antioxidant power, aloe juice for a massive boost of hydration, or coconut milk if your hair requires extra softness.

What hair types is this kit best suited for?

The Ayurvedic Strengthening Mask Kit is formulated to benefit all hair types and textures, from fine and straight to thick, coily, and Type 4 hair. It is particularly effective for those dealing with hair thinning, excessive shedding, dry scalp flakes, or breakage along the hair shaft.

Can I use this kit if I have locks (locs)?
Yes, but you must strain it first! To prevent tiny herbal powder particles from getting trapped inside your locks, do not apply the thick paste directly to your hair. Instead, steep 2 tablespoons of the powder in 1 cup of boiling water for 15 minutes, strain the liquid thoroughly through a cheesecloth into a spray bottle, and add your Baobab oil. Shake well, spray onto your scalp and locks as a liquid rinse, and wash out completely after 30 minutes for a residue-free scalp therapy. (Directions provided inside each kit)

 

Is this safe for color-treated or chemically processed hair?

Yes. Our formula is entirely chemical-free, sulfate-free, and paraben-free. It serves as an excellent restorative treatment to strengthen cuticles that have been weakened by bleach, hair dye, or chemical relaxers. 

 

Why are the powders and oil packaged separately?

Mass-produced liquid hair masks sit on warehouse shelves for months, which forces brands to use harsh chemical preservatives to prevent bacterial growth. By delivering the Ayurvedic Strengthening Mask as a dry powder and Baobab as a raw oil, we ensure the active botanicals remain at 100% freshness and potency until the exact moment you activate them with water at home.

 

Why do I need to let the mixture sit for 10 minutes before applying?

Do not skip this step! Both Aloe Vera and Fenugreek require a few minutes to fully absorb water and gelatinize. Allowing the paste to rest creates a silky, jelly-like "mucilage" (slip). This texture makes the herbal paste slide easily onto your hair and ensures effortless detangling.

Will the powder leave a gritty residue in my hair?

Not if used correctly. To ensure a completely clean rinse:

1. Always use a small hand whisk or a mini blender to mix the mask into a completely smooth, lump-free batter.

2. Never let the mask dry completely to a crisp on your hair (keep it covered with a shower cap).

3. Always follow your initial water rinse with a slip-heavy conditioner, which acts as a magnet to pull any remaining tiny herbal particles safely out of your strands.
